Howard performs a variety act called his “1 Man Show”.
It’s a cheerful time of well-known songs and tunes played on guitar or ukulele, poems to reminisce to, jokes (maybe) and friendly banter.
It is designed for Community Groups, Over 60s Social Clubs, WIs, U3A, Care Homes, Retirement Villages and the like.
If you’d like Howard to play at your event, then please get touch using the Contact Page on the main menu.
Howard performs funny songs by well-known artists of yesteryear (well-known if you’re a certain age!) including Val Doonican, Flanders and Swann, Laurel and Hardy, Lonnie Donegan, George Formby, Bernard Cribbins plus traditional folk tunes. He recites poems reminding everyone of happy times and includes enough really awful Dad jokes to make you groan. Occasionally, Howard is joined by his wooden dancing pal Woody.

On Facebook “Today we were joined by the brilliant Howard Hill with whom we always have so much fun and laughter with his terrible jokes, brilliant musical pieces & singalongs there wasn’t a face without a smile on it all afternoon! Best quote of the day when Sheila said “can we tie him up and keep him!”

Howard has played for our Music for Memories group in Harwell a few times and each time has been fantastic. He puts so much effort into the performance. He relates to the audience. He plays a few instruments and sings along with them. Howard sometimes reads poems about the old times which is so nostalgic and they all love them. Thanks Howard, keep doing what you are doing

We have been fortunate to have Howard perform at many of our events over the last decade bringing a variety of music to them via numerous stringed instruments. His performances at our Christmas Day and Easter Sunday Dinners are always very professional & entertaining. All of our guests – local elderly and vulnerable adults – really enjoy the music and love singing along to the songs which can include folk, popular hits and Christmas hits and carols plus much more that bring a fantastic atmosphere to all our events.
Howard’s huge musical talents are matched only by his wonderful & humorous personality and whether performing solo or in one of his groups fun and quality music is guaranteed. Definitely a man for all occasions.
